Centerville grew up on coal, and built the largest downtown square in the state with the money. George & Nick’s has served that square since 1968 — a Greek family’s pizza and gyros for a coal-country crowd that showed up hungry and never left. A 2016–17 remodel nearly tripled the dining room, but kept the tin ceilings and mason-jar chandelier that make it feel like Centerville’s.
